All Adult Learners and tutors must participate in a free interview prior to paid services to ensure compatibility on both side. For scheduling a free introductory interview, please click “Book A Session” in the main menu and select the first service, “Introductory Interview,” on the service listings.
Please refer any qualified Tutor candidates you know who can work with Adult Learners in your area to the program manager.

Britany Bell
Britany has been a classroom intervention specialist for 12 years. She believes that everyone should have the right and opportunity to learn how to read so that they can access the world through text. Seeing learners work towards and master goals brings her so much joy in teaching.
Carla Harper
Carla is a literacy tutor with about a decade of teaching and tutoring experience. Carla has completed various trainings to support her work as a literacy tutor, including an intensive program, in Orton- Gillingham methods of multi-sensory literacy instruction and training on Wilson and SPIRE.
Carmen Simmons
Carmen is a licensed intervention specialist with five years of classroom teaching experience.Carmen has a strong passion for working with people with developmental disabilities and supporting them in becoming as independent as possible.
Carrie Romine
Throughout her 27-year professional career as an Intervention Specialist, Carrie has served many students with various learning disabilities and needs. She will deliver instruction specifically using the Orton-Gillingham framework.
Dawn Speidel
Dawn’s professional history includes 25 years of classroom teaching experience in elementary and high school settings. She has also taught at the college level in a teacher education program for pre-service special education teachers.

Deborah is a licensed intervention specialist with 14 years of teaching and tutoring experience. She has a master’s degree in special education
Dominick Wise
Dominick is a licensed substitute teacher with a master’s degree in special education. He has eleven years of tutoring experience and five years of teaching experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Dominick firmly believes that all people can learn regardless of ability. He loves being an educator and is passionate about lifelong learning!
Dona Holmstrom
Dona has been a special education teacher for 22 years and has worked with a variety of grade levels. She also brings a personal passion to this work as she has a daughter with Down syndrome. Dona is excited to join this program because she knows that the ability to read and write can help people be more independent and do so many enjoyable things.
Ebony Donley
Ebony is a licensed intervention specialist and reading endorsed educator with 22 years of teaching experience. She is excited to join this program to help adults become as independent as possible.
Elizabeth Burkhalter
Elizabeth is a licensed intervention specialist with 15 years of classroom teaching experience (grades 1-12), 5 years of home instruction experience (grades 6-12) and 5 years of tutoring experience (grades 6-12). Elizabeth hopes to motivate each of her learners to strive for their goals.
