Carla is a literacy tutor with about a decade of teaching and tutoring experience. She lives in Southeast Columbus with her husband and two-year-old twins. Carla has completed various trainings to support her work as a literacy tutor, including an intensive program in Orton-Gillingham methods of multi-sensory literacy instruction and training on Wilson and SPIRE. She is in graduate school at Ohio University to obtain a master's degree in Special Education. When Carla is not reading to her children or lost in a book of her own, she enjoys hiking and cooking. She has been part of the Adult Literacy Program for one year and is excited to continue working with Adult Learners!
