Allison has over twenty years of classroom teaching experience as an intervention specialist ranging from elementary to middle to high school. Allison is excited to join Adult Literacy Ohio to support adults who want to build their skills in reading, writing, and communication.
Throughout her 21-year teaching career, Ashley has worked with a variety of students in the elementary setting. Ashley uses both Orton Gillingham methods and Wilson Foundations. She is very passionate about reading and loves showing people the joys of reading.
Jessica is a licensed early childhood educator with ten years of experience in the field. Throughout her career, Jessica has supported students with a variety of abilities and needs.
Jodi has 30+ years of experience in education, with over a decade as an intervention specialist. Jodi is excited to join this program because she has a special passion for helping students. She prides herself on excellent relationships with learners and families and planning instruction that is based on specific students and responsive to their unique learning styles.
Rachel has 6 years of teaching experience in an elementary special education classroom. Her student teaching included experiences with high schoolers and young adults through the age of 21. Additionally, Rachel is a caretaker for her adult sister with Down syndrome. Rachel enjoys her job with young children but looks forward to using her skills to help adults with disabilities create a more independent life.
Samrath has 18 years of teaching experience and 8 years of tutoring experience across all grade levels, including a young adult in college with autism.Samrath shares that she is excited to join Adult Literacy Ohio because she is fully aware and appreciates that reading and writing challenges can follow students beyond high school. So much in life requires a strong foundation in reading. Samrath looks forward to pulling from her extensive experience and education to assist adults in their literacy journeys!
Steph is a 9-12 Grade H.S Technology Teacher at CCS. She has a passion for meeting students where they are and individualizing instruction to be responsive to interests and needs. While Steph is not a traditional reading teacher, she is an avid reader and promotes literacy in her Career Tech Classes.
