Laura is a veteran educator with over 24 years of teaching experience, including work as a home instructor, private tutor, and, most recently, as a Title Reading Specialist. She has experience working with students with developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome and autism. Throughout her teaching career, she has always prioritized supporting students and sometimes parents who struggle with literacy. She is trained in the Wilson Reading Program and has received training in LETRS and Acadience. Her connection to this program is both professional and personal – along with almost three decades of teaching children how to read, she is a proud aunt to a niece with Down syndrome! Laura shares that teaching literacy to children and adults is a passion, and she is very excited to support adult literacy efforts through this program!
